Last year I wore my [Klim Carlsbad](https://www.thetriumphadventures.com/klim-carlsbad-jacket/) jacket during the summer. It is ventilated well but it is a waterproof and heavy jacket. With all the riding I do on the roads (work, errands, etc), I decided to get a summer style jacket that has excellenet ventilation

After doing a ton of research on all types of jackets, I decided to come back to Klim and get the [Induction](https://www.klim.com/motorcycle/mens/jacket?ref=thetriumphadventures.com) jacket. This is not waterproof (or even water resistant) since it is a mesh style jacket. Does it ventilate? YES, very well.

It still provide durable protection and armor but allows a lot more comfort in very warm weather. I purchased it in the spring before the warm weather arrived. The first time I tried it out, I knew it was a great purchase.

Along with this jacket, I also purchased [Oxford Rainseal Over Jacket](https://www.oxfordproducts.com/motorcycle/brands/oxford/rider%5Fwear/rain%5Fwear/oxford%5Frainseal%5Fover%5Fjacket%5Fblack/?ref=thetriumphadventures.com) in HiVis (remember, the Klim is NOT waterproof). This jacket works great as I have already been caught in 3 downpours.

The Klim does not have near the number of pockets I was used to on Carlsbad. Two hand pockets, one chest pocket and of course the standard hidden stash pocket (for you id card). Again, these are not water proof either. I keep my phone in my chest pocket and need to remember that if it starts to rain, stop the bike and put on the rain gear.

I have found that if the temperatures are over 75 degrees, it is very comfortable. I have worn it in the mornings when it is 65 and it was fine as well but I knew it was going to warm up.

I did have to order then next size up. The carlsbad jacket I wear is a Large. I got the Induction in a Large and found it to be too binding. I got the X-Large and like it much better. There may be a little extra room (which I do not need) but with longer arms and broader shoulders, it just feels better while wearing it.

Definitely a GREAT purchase and have really enjoyed it as the temps get into the 90s.
