GLMC - Trip 3
Was out riding with a friend and decided to catch another couple of oddities for GLMC. In Linwood, there is a old truck stop called Bills Truck Stop. Been around since the 60's. I do not think the diner has been changed since then. Also there is a nice Roadside Giant (also called Muffler Men) that were used for advertising back in the 60s.
Since the theme is roadside attractions and odditites, this fit the bill. In Linwood, NC just off the I-85 interstate you can find Bills. It is well known to the locals. It is a truck stop but many cars stop as well. The diner is 24 hours and once you walk in, it is like stepping back in time. Love the place.

The other cool aspect is that they happen to have the Daniel Boone Giant (muffler men) in there parking lot. Since it is in Linwood, it fits the bill for GLMC.

The stop was quick to take pictures for GLMC but this is still a very interesting place. If in the area, give the diner a try. True greasy spoon but worth the stop.
