Lunch Lap IV

Lunch Lap IV
Lunch Lap 4 - Starting at Sambuco Barber Company

Its that time again where we get together at Sambuco's Barber (Facebook) at 11am (ksu @ 11:45am) and ride the backroads to another destination with about 80 of our closest friends! This Sunday, the destination was the Independence Harley Davidson in Charlotte.

We arrived about 10:45am to a good number of bikes already gathered. Its seems each month folks are arriving earlier and earlier. This is a social event and people want time to talk and look at bikes. Per usual, we got an adult beverage and hung out with folks we knew. Around 11:40am, the ring leader had someone say a prayer, gave the usual how to ride in a group talk, and kick stands were up.

These rides to have blockers at any intersection with lights, stop signs, etc. This allows the entire group to stay together. Today there were 73 total bikes. Another fantastic turn out.

We got everyone lined up and then began the ride. I was a bit concerned about this ride. The Harley dealer is in a VERY busy part of town. They did find a great ride. Most of the time were back roads and very few lights until we got near the end. It got a bit tough as there were a number of lights close together but the group stayed very tight and we were able to all arrive together at the dealership.

We got there about 1pm. The Harley dealership had an event going on so there was a band, free drinks, giveaways, and vendors. There was also a few motorcycle challenges for a bit of competition. There were some food trucks so we picked up some food and actually stayed until about the end.

It had been a long day and I had plans that night so I took off about 4:30pm and headed home. It was another great ride and cannot wait for the next one.
